AARO re-processing of Project Blue Book Volume 14, noting a methodology shift and a rise in cases near nuclear weapon storage sites in 1968–1969.
Curator's note
The government grading its own homework. AARO's re-processing of Project Blue Book's Volume 14 reports a methodology shift and a rise in cases near nuclear weapon storage sites in 1968–1969 — the same correlation the Sandia correspondence documents two decades earlier in a different dataset. Blue Book closed in 1969 declaring nothing of scientific value; an official audit reopening its own filings is quietly the most institutionally radical document in the archive. Read it for what survived re-processing, and for the finding that archival contents did not always match the summaries sent up the chain — a statement about institutional record-keeping with implications well beyond UFOs.
