Official description

An unidentified object report with enhanced imagery captured from a PANTEX radar tower, the nation's primary nuclear weapons assembly and disassembly facility. Published in PURSUE Release 02.

Curator's note

Sparse imagery, significant provenance. Pantex is the nation's primary nuclear weapons assembly and disassembly facility — the institutional successor to the Sandia Base of DOW-UAP-D017 — and this record's existence means the Department of Energy contributed a modern unidentified-object report about it to a public UAP archive. The enhanced radar-tower imagery itself shows less than the file's context implies; treat claims of sustained hovering surveillance with caution, as we cannot match them to the published record. What the file cleanly establishes is the endpoint of the archive's longest pattern: unexplained reports over U.S. nuclear facilities, documented by the government itself, from 1948 to the present decade.
